Getting to know each other
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at First UPC a great one!
What Can I Expect?
How Long Is A First UPC Service?
In total, a First UPC service is about 90 minutes in length. Our Sunday Worship service begins with our praise team leading the church in music while song lyrics are projected onto the screen so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, one of our ministers will share the word that God has given them for that service.
On Wednesdays, children are dismissed to their classes during our praise service. At the end of service, you will need to visit the appropriate class to pick up your child.
What’s The Culture Like At First UPC?
Our Sunday worship services at First UPC are filled with compassionate people, spirit-filled worship, and powerful messages. We want you to be comfortable when you visit, so wear what you’re comfortable wearing. When you’re at one of our services, you’ll see a range of styles from jeans to suits.
What About My Children?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week and at First UPC, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Children’s ministry is offered at every First UPC service for children in preschool through highschool.
